~ 'Platinum Bronze' debate for '08 328i ~

I am ready to purchase my next car. I have decided to go with the naturally aspirated easy to upgrade 230HP 328i vs. the 335i. I am confident and happy with my decision.

Now it's time to choose my color combo. Most of my cars are black on black. However, I am quickly falling in love with the color 'Platinum Bronze Metallic' inspired originally from the slightly darker 'Kalahari Beige Metallic' which is the color of my E39 5 Series. Regardless of the exterior color, I am done with light color interiors. I know that the beige leather looks best with the 'Platinum Bronze' but how does black look? Does anyone have pictures of a 'Platinum Bronze' car with a different color interior other than the beige (such as black, grey or the reddish-brown-clay)?

**The color can be seen on the build of any 3 series at http://www.bmwusa.com

I think black could work with platinum bronze metallic.

Not taking anything away from the 328i as it is a great car, but "easy to upgrade" isn't a term I'd associate with it. The engine in that car is pretty much tweaked as far as it will go. The 335i is much easier to upgrade power wise.

But like I said, that doesn't take anything away from the 328i as power is not something everyone buys a car for.

Black interior will recall those champagne/black BMW's of yore. I think it should look fine. Another choice is Saddle Brown (or Terra, if your car is a sedan): I've got the PB/SB combo on order for a 328 coupe, and I think it's going to look very good (for an old man's car).

There are pictures of an E93 platinum bronze/coral red on this forum or bimmerfest.com. You can probably find it with a search.

I took delivery of a platinum bronze with black leather e92 coupe back in June. I debated the black leather vs. saddle brown. I was afraid the SB with the PB might be 'too beige.' But in hindsight, I think the SB does work as there is still enough black on the interior for contrast. You don't get that with the black leather interior. So I'd vote for the SB.

And sorry, no pics available......

We had an E39 Sahara Beige with Black Leather interior, black gloss trim and it was gorgeous. Great color combo and I really like the new Plat Bronze. Go for it!

...although I really like SB, too, I just haven't seen it in person against a beige.
