1st post

I'm looking to do this in the next couple weeks. Gonna give it a try myself and see how it goes. There is a little bit of a blank in this DIY between the tape the template on your car and the finished product. I searched everywhere for other DIY on the same thing but to no avail. Was hoping someone could answer a few q's. When going from the back to the front do you just peel the protective layer cover the adhesive, smooth it out, heat a little and then move on an inch at a time? Also how did you get it under the little rubber on the bottom of the window which covers about 1/16" of the chrome piece. Any answers would be great or possibly if someone found a link I couldn't.

now that i have seen your gloss black.....im peeling off my matte blak vinyll and going glossy!
yeah I'll do it. And if i don't like the look, i'll just peel it off.....thats the good thing about vinyl and besides it doesn't chip.

I don't want to do it because im keeping the black and chrome theme...like black w/chrome lip, black car and tints w/chrome trim, black grill surounding w/chrome slants and chrome tips.....but will definitely give it a try
btw this pic was at a montreal photoshoot (will post pics in the gallary section soon) and was taken before i did my grills ...

Shiggy, I saw your DIY on the mesh grill. Cool idea, will have to try it at one point. Where did you get your painted reflectors by the way, and are you happy with the paint match on them?

Hmmm... painted vs. smoked on Sapphire Black. Both will look good, which to pick is the tough one!
