Update I tried another sales rep at this dealership
Here is the outcome.... On Apr 18, 2012, at 3:12 PM, Mario, Thank you for the inquiry, I have just sent you the complete BMW Service History and Auto Check. It’s a very nice car with lots of equipment and lots of warranty. When would you like to stop by to see it? Please let me know. Me...I would be Glad to come down and take a look at it. But I want to know if were in the same ballpark with the price I'm looking to pick this car up for 33k out the door? Mario, I really cannot imagine where one would find a car like this in this shape and mileage for 33K out the door. We are market makers in the world of BMW pre owned and as such are very careful and very competitive when we price our cars. We generally put our best selling price on the internet. I’d be happy to offer you a five hundred dollar discount from that price. Of course that would not include taxes, title, and license fees. Please let me know, The dealers is the only one in the area with an xi sedan with nav with low miles. So I looked up on edmunds what the going rate was and I'm finding out the dealer (35500) is within 800 of the edmunds price (34700) How did fellow members on here get this magical 30-31k deals on an 09 Anybody got some info to back up their deals :bs: |

I have been looking for a car for about 6 months and this is what I have noticed. About every 2 weeks some dealers drop their price about 1k, then after 2 weeks they drop it again 1k after about 2 months your in a better position to deal ( if they still have the car). You can look at the carfax, and it tells you when they got the car. The dealers in calif. wont drop the price 1k then the next week they drop the price (whatever). Some dealers have codes in the price, the car porter at 1 dealer told me when the price of the car ends in a 4 (like 34994) thats their lowest price. I started noting it at other dealers more and more, but sometimes its a 2 or a 8 each dealer is different. good luck.

CPO vs non-CPO maybe? Also they tend to be more flexible at the end of the month.

Id say take your time and browse online, Some of those dealers are delusional and if you do your homework you can get a way better deal. Ive been searching for two months or so and the deals do pop up..
Dealer is the highest price around from what Im seeing CPO or not but sometimes a safer bet if you dont wanna do your groundwork.

It's business. If they get desperate to sell they'll do what you're asking. At the end of the day, the sales guy is trying to make money for himself while you're trying to save. It's all on who breaks first lol.

You can extend any BMW yourself if it is still under new car warranty , and pick the package that u need for a 335 , not the ones that the dealerships shove you . Most the time ppl get the cheapest package and nothing is really covered but oil and fluids , no pipings or anything serious gets fixed . And BMW replaced both my xenon headlamps and swivel module for free !!! It's having brand new lights even after warranty is over

You have no obligation to keep talking to the same salesman if he's not being reasonable. However, you need to be reasonable too and E90 post isn't the definitive authority on used car values, Galves is.
If the guy isn't willing to work with you, then find a different salesperson and/or dealership if you don’t like the one you’re dealing with. Inquiring at 4 different dealerships with 5 salespeople each = 20 potentially different deals (and personalities). Good luck.
