How will you meter the flow of meth for your power requirements?
Do you think the plastic lines will hold-up during repeated runs? Have you considered using hard lines? |

There is just a lot wrong with this meth setup, but it is a pretty cool idea. It would probably be better suited for extra fueling like e85 like somebody mentioned.
The other thing is that you probably have little rubber ring seals around each meth bung and that is almost guaranteed to start leaking because of heat/brittleness etc. |

I bug out with just two nozzles and I would never feel
Comfortable running it ontop of the manifold. OP please at least use braided lines and use compression fittings over the push fittings on the nozzle adapterS |

I haven't had it for very long, and I don't care for drag strips.
Like SIKH says, nothing to prove. Just trying to enjoy the car. There are still less than 10 singles, someone will come along.

Did you ever real world test the direct port meth setup? I remember you posting this idea some time ago while it was still a working progress.

Yeah, I've been just stalking the forums, so I'm caught up on everything that's going on...no posting. I'm actually going to Bimmerfest East Coast this weekend, let me know who's going so I can look out for you guys. I'd really like to see the big single installed and see it in the engine bay. I got a good break from posting and for good reason...I got a new job that is very time consuming and I bought a $10k ring to ask my gf of 2 years to marry me, so we've been engaged for nearly a year and we will be married on October 20th, it's coming really quickly! So...it's been a real tease for me to see you guys get these big singles when I just spent the same amount of $ on a ring, and I couldve gotten every upgrade available and still have 5-8k left over for cosmetic mods for what Ive committed to our wedding...I honestly had no idea how expensive getting married would be. I just sold my Corum Skeleton Bubble on EBay to get the last chunk of $ for the wedding. I've been promised that after the wedding is over that my next purchase is going to be the big single with all the goodies and supporting mods...I can't wait! I'm thinking it will be spring time...sorry for the off topic, I just wanted to catch you guys up on these great steps in my life! I should be on the forums much more now that the planning and wedding stuff is pretty much over except for the good ole bachelor party and the wedding.

Congarts. I agree with most here, and I'm trying to find the right words, but in reality I would be scared of running direct port meth.
1) Atomization problems 2) Leak potentials just went up like crazy 3) Your sensors won't be picking up the reduced IAT 4) If 1 nozzle clogs you will not be spraying methanol into 1 cylinder which can cause catastrophic failure. Recommendations: 2 Small nozzles nearest the intercooler, about 4 inches from each other. If you wanted to still go direct port: Upgrade to all AN fittings and stainless steel lines to limit potential problems. You will still have problems with your sensors not reading lower IAT's though and still have potential for leaks and potential fire and clogged nozzle. |

Good God make those lines stainless steal or something. I would never trust any plastic next to a manifold... I would put all those lines after the intercooler, LOL.
Wait... what do you mean Vishnu is going to FLASH an ecu?
