Help me choose between used E90s (3 options)
Okay, I am deciding between three E90's as listed below.
Common Characteristics: All 328 All manuals (only in the market for manuals) No CPO This car will be my daily driver CAR 1: 2009 / ~40K Miles / $23,000 (Private Party) Warranty good till Fall 2013 Sports Package Premium Package Comfort Access Xenon Headlamps Fold down seat Power seats Cons: Price No heated seats CAR 2: 2009 / ~32K Miles / $21,600 (Small used car lot) Warranty good till Fall 2013 Sports Package Heated Seats Cons: No Leather No Power Seats CAR 3: "IX" AWD MODEL: 2007 / ~60K Miles / ~$19,500 (Large Dealer) Sports Package Premium Package Cold Weather Package Xenon Headlamps All-Wheel Drive (I live in a warm climate so this isn't really that beneficial on a daily basis) Cons: Zero Warranty Worse MPG Older/Higher Mileage Lack of sports suspension (IX models have the sports seats, that I love, but lack the suspension of the I series sports package) Or should I just wait for something better to come along. I am mainly shopping manuals only at this point. Thanks in advance Last edited by ventiamericano; 02-14-2013 at 03:45 AM.. |

Im assuming those are not 335s, Id probably go with the 1st one, mostly for the xenons, and dont get an XI unless you live in a weather that realy needs it, everything is more complicated/more expensive, plus you have a TON less suspension options.

In the uk if you buy a BMW without leather it's nearly unsellable. So that rules out option 2. Option 3 has no piece of mind with no warranty but is keenly priced.
If it was me I would spend the extra and get the high specced option1

#1 all the way. Just haggle the price down, because you can get low mileage E46 M3's for that much. Xenons are a MUST. Sport package is a MUST for the E90 (upgraded steering wheel, seats, suspension). Comfort Access is the SHIT. Not a must, but it'll change your life lol.

Prices reflect haggling. . So the only thing that is holding me back on Option 1 is that it is priced a bit above KBB. But then again manuals are a bit of a rarity?

CAR 1
Only thing I don't have on my 09' is comfort access which everyday I wish I didn't have to put my key in. But yeah get at least 700 more off and reference other listings to haggle price

Thanks everyone. So they seem firm on the $22750 price. It is a private party, but the person has maintained the car spot on. Still a bit nervous about buying without CPO protection at this price point though.

If youre planning to upgrade it and do work on it id take Car 2 with lower price and mileage, but if theyre staying the way they are now Id take Car 1

Go for Car 1 and get the price down another $1,000. Good luck with your purchase.
