Not sure yet. Hoping not to loud. The new pipe has a silencer in it but I think the lack of primary cats will increase the sound level. I will do some sound clips when done. Don't mind loud just hopefully avoid drone !

Cheers Andy. Think the full system is a steal! Another month or two and the car should close to done. Thinking the 'fast show' could be its first day out ( although interior wont be done)

Good lad Mr compusiveness haha. I'm sure the car looks perfectly fine as it is. I didn't know you were running 20's though. You wait until the volume/drone is turned up with the decat. My car may be going yet depending on what happens with work not before the fast show though. When you booked in for remap? Send me a text with how much the x pipe cost please.

Hi, yes I to like many others have followed this thread/progress and it would be nice to see in the flesh.

Do you plan on showing around the country at various cars shows?

Andy. I'm hoping the drone/ noise won't increase that much ( hope the key word).! Sad news if car has to go. Remap will prob be next Wednesday. Just need to check if evolve can fit me in. Want to get pipe on first before I commit to a date. They said before they can squeeze in at about a weeks notice. Will text you.

It will fella like a new car nick, don't worry if it doesn't feel like lightning as soon as its done its a few days later when it really hits home once the adoption time is done. Get it mapped for high octane aswell v power 99. Any previous thoughts about the 335d just get left behind

Car still not back

New Pedal covers arrived from states in super quick time and looks like I've swerved duty as posted as a sample, fingers crossed. Pedals look superb.

Decals applied to brakes. Going to re do fronts as slightly out of alignment and swop the front layout to opposite but you get the jist. Hoping the cars back this week so can get the brakes on:

Been in talks with Dan, he said you can use the 405mm caliper on the 380 and will fit 19s, so definitely going for them. Didn't know tates ordered yellow...that's what I am going for too. Yellow...possibly blue but mainly leaning on yellow.

380 fronts with bigger caliper and 380 kit rear, all floating and powder coated.

Cant wait to see your fitted! I think, (just my opinion) black stick would have suited your calipers more as it will contrast more with the orange...although the good thing is its a sticks and you can change any time. I did actually try the ///M stickers on my stock brakes, but after a month it peeled off!! Least with your calipers being new, it should stick a million times better then when I put them on mine.

Pedals from bmwpedals.com are the best you can get!!

That's good news. These calipers would look great with the 380mm kit.

Did think about black but decided on silver. As you say easy enough to change if I decide. I've avoided black in my theme generally preferring silver. Think these decals should be ok. Nice clean flat surface ( plus only £6 a set)

M's now on the right way,

iPad to context size.

Few bits done to the car today.

First up had my x pipe ( primary decat) from russ fellows fitted, at a local exhaust centre. Bit more involved than I thought but just under 2 hours later we had this,

Bit of a rubbish sound clip,
http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/q...427FF7E698.mp4

Got to say fitment and quality was spot on. As I pulled away it immediately felt more responsive. ( I scared myself a little bit!). It pulled much more from lower revs. It will be remapped next week which should really make it something else.

In terms of sound it was louder but not silly. Well.......except on cold start. That's going to have to go. Windows and doors would be vibrating!!!

It sounds mega fruity. Only down side is I'm getting alot of vibrations through the car below 2.5k. After this it's quiet, but below not so good. I think it's the tubi that had these characteristics and these have been amplified.

Spoke to russ about it ( who by the way is a bloody good bloke) and he will put me in contact with someone who has used back box from him that I may try. So the tubi might be up for grabs but not sure yet. Or I may just put a few miles on it and see. It does sound awesome !!! May get used to the reverb!

Had a hour or so so put my pedals in. Reasonably simple job,

My mats from chris ( forum sponsor)

Then I went up to the place that has race cars with bc coilovers that did my alignment to see if they could look at my banging noise coming from the rear coilovers. Ipswich repair centre and again top blokes.

Rob, the main mechanic, spent ages looking at the suspension, checking the rubbers, fitment, adjusting etc, but couldn't get the bang to go, so will need to contact bc coilovers with my issue I think now. The best bit, I had to offer a few quid as they didn't want anything!

Couple of pics,

Still tweaking suspension so height still being played with.

The bbk is being fitted the garage that did my exhaust next Tuesday ( treadfirst, Stowmarket) as they offered up a good price and my friend wasn't about when I was so looking forward to that! Kinda like the idea of not getting dirty fitting them!

Will book remap for next Friday if evolve can do it.

Looking good..

If you drive your car hard at times, then you will enjoy the evolve map! I have their map and xpipe fitted, plus valvetronic exhaust system and couldn't be happier!

Love the performance seats! Just fitted a pair of them on my mates M3 and they look and feel awesome. Real shame I cant fit them on mine as its convertible!!

Hi mate, car looks superb! Just a bit of info on the coilys banging, I had a set of v-maxx coilovers on my old a3 and they used to bang at the back, turned out the cause was the rear struts were too short from the manufacturer and were not allowing the strut to come out enough if our get me . might be the same issue mate

Cheers chaps! Interesting as you mention shock length as the kit I have it's fully adjustable. The rear shock is adjustable as it sits within a sleeve at the base of the suspension. ( the idea being you always have full travel regardless of height of suspension)

We were playing with the height adjustment today but made no difference
