Buying 335i Coupe-Need help in Richmond Area

Hi,

I've been looking for a couple months now and am looking to pick up a 335i shortly. I was looking at one in NYC, but was told to steer clear of the dealer by some forum members. So, I'm now looking at a white 335i coupe, saddle brown interior, loaded, 44k miles for $27k asking price. This vehicle is located at Autosport LLC in Richmond, VA. Had anyone worked with this dealer? Any thoughts or suggestions? Here is a link to the car. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Very nice looking car! I would get the history of the car. There will always be some sort of gremlins that will show up when it comes to buying a used car.

I have spoken to Jon a few times and although I have yet to do business with him, I certainly would. He is a real nice guy and definitely has a passion for BMWs. I was looking at this car on his site over the weekend. It definitely seems like a great deal.

I just talked to Jon and he seemed to know what he was talking about. He sent over an AutoCheck, which turned out clean as well as the entire maintenance history, with nothing significant standing out there.

I'll be looking to make a move pretty quick since I sold my e46 M3 a couple weeks ago and was planning on driving my f150 until I found the right 335. However, this happened on my way to tailgate for the Brewer game on Saturday:

sorry to blow up this post....

also, this car looks to have a fake csl trunk lip added... you should 100% bring this car into an actual BMW dealership and get an inspection - 27k (even if you get it for 25k) is a lot to spend on a beaten n54 so be careful when choosing your car.

If you can get it for under $25k, I'd go for it.

I bought my E92 from Jon and it was a smooth transaction. The car was well represented and it has been great so far.

Are we all going to ignore the truck fire pic? Good luck with the car, but what the hell happened to your truck? Propane tank?

Due to previous owner\owners bad taste in aftermarket trunk lip, I would have an respectable independent BMW shop complete a full check-up on the car before making a purchase.

I had the truck for 6 months as a winter beater. The owner before me put an exhaust with a smokestack in the bed of the truck. There was a metal box around the smokestack. It must have been put together pretty carelessly and as I was driving on the interstate a fire started inside the box. Pulled over, 2 people stopped and helped me pull everything out, and within 10 minutes it was up in full flames.

I was going to buy that exact car u looking at right now until i look more into it.
Seem like the car have been mildly modified, no major deal as u can see it all BUT what about the motor? Considering the Ex-owner could have been beating on it with a tune and 6mt....i stayed away from it. Just my 2-cents

I ended up with an 09 335xi that were owned by a business, 3 years lease, always been very well maintained so im pleased.

I hear ya. I ended up going with a different car. I've been trying to contact this seller for 3 weeks and finally got ahold of them (don't think they were quite ready to sell) :

Heading to NYC tonight to pick it up! 08 AW E92XI MT Fully loaded, Saddle Brown interior. Has 61,000 miles, but I was really looking for the AWD being in WI. Plus, the owner bought the extended Platinum warranty which goes through June 2014. PPI turned out great, and agreed on 26k with the VMR rims and the OEM rims with winters on them. Maybe a bit high on the price, but feeling pretty great about the warranty after getting nailed with maintenance with my previous 02 M3
