Audio Shop
Does anyone know where I can go to get a aftermarket system installed. I have everything but the box.

I can help install. I did my system a while ago. Let me know if you wanna go that route. Otherwise, my buddy works at the BB in Columbia. He's the installation MNGR. I don't know if he can provide discounts, but he does good work.
What is your setup? Also, are you going custom trunk box, or do you just need an enclosure? Just asking because you can get a decent Qlogic box from ebay. Also, craigslist has lots of boxes.

That I do not know, especially if you're changing out the head unit. I'm not familiar with the connections behind the HU. I only installed a sub and amp for my car since I already had L7 & Navi and had no need to upgrade.

I talked to BB in columbia and he said it will be 125 to install and a lil more to get around the factory amp. which isnt to bad. I called Audio Connection and its like 250 so i am going to go out to both and see how they look when installing speakers. What size are the door speakers anyone?

As an FYI- my CCC clunked out on me for the 3rd or 4th time 2 months ago. The first time it happened, I was at 8000 miles and my car was nearly brand new without any aftermarket system. They replaced it with no problems. The subsequent times, I don't remember if I had a system or not.
Anyways, this time, I took it into BMW for a Warranty Fix, and they told me that the System was the reason the CCC got fried. I was livid and put up a good fight. They ended up fixing the CCC through their "good-will." Lesson Learned- Make sure you take the system out before bringing it in for any type of electronic warranty repair. The reason I didn't was because I ASSumed that since it had happened before when I didn't have a system, that it wouldn't be a problem this time. NEVER ASSume anything. Anyways, I only have 2000 miles before 50K so the warranty is almost out anyways. Does anyone know if parts that are repaired close to warranty expiration have any additional warranty on it that covers post-warranty period?
