my wallet is getting a hammering at the moment, approx 60-80 quid a week on fuel and I only travel 10 miles to work and 15 back

in my 335i i am getting approx 19 mpg, i put in 25 quid the other day (shell v power 99 oct @ 103p per litre) and it lasted 98 miles approx! car has only 2000 miles tho, and I have a heavy right foot full of lead. and the car is almost always in DS mode when oil is up to temp.

That straight 6 turbo sound is stunning and addictive! it wants you to cain it! and i oblidge! . never had that in my 320d loaner i wanted to drive slowly lol ...99% of cars are dispatched will ease, including a vr6, type R, cayman, tt, evobishi's (most of 'em), golf r32...list goes on.. (i am not a good driver though, and this is just straight line stuff, cornering ability is incredible with the 19" and m sports suspension)

my journey to work is stop/start mostly due to the traffic, blomming buses, cyclists, and fecking speed bumps everywhere! its only like 10 miles but its not progressive! worried about brakes as they take a battering

going to a stag do in bournemouth tomorrow so i hope that will bed the engine in a bit more so that the mpg starts rising! and i lose my lead foot!

Ken is a big dildo.

You can tell that he is a looser who couldn't pass his driving test!

With my commute I don't expect to get 500miles routinely, I generally only get about 500miles at the moment.

I can get 510 miles if I do M-way sat at 75-80 miles with cruise on for most of the way.

If its a mix then 375-400 is what I can achieve. If I feel like thrashing the life out of the car (redline foot to the floor on A & B roads) then I can get about 300ish miles to the tank

Matt, I'm getting around 525-550 every 10 days with a weekday commute of about 110mile round-trip, three times a week. So it should be possible ?

It's taking me forever to get to the magic 1200 miles break-in.

Nearly every business meeting has been a train ride since I took delivery (typical).

The econometer is showing 22.4mpg at 750 miles - so looking forward to adding maybe one or two extra mpg once the engine has settled in a little.

Paul, you should be ashamed.

If you keep this up you will need to buy a cardigan and trilby to wear in the car

Okay so I don't get more than 400 miles very often, but sometimes...

Already got the cardigan, add a flat cap and leather driving gloves... that's me!

Funny how your brain plays tricks on you, I read flat cap as cat flap and couldn't make out the connection with the carigan and leather gloves

I'd expect it easily on a long run, but my normal commute puts me in stop-start trafffic for about 2/3rds of it.
