Mirror dips in reverse.

Noticed on my car when I select reverse the p/s mirror dips. Are they both supposed to dip or just the one. Thanks.

if you dont ant it to dip, move the wing mirror selector to the right and it cancels it

Exactly. It's designed to let you see the kerb when parallel parking.

You have to have the mirror selector to left (the passenger side) to stop in dipping when in reverse.

You don't need to dip the passengers mirror to find the kerb, just use your wheels.

When you hear a crunch, that'll be the kerb. Isn't that the most common method?

That's exactly how my mrs parks and also the reason she never drives my car

Mine was doing this and I have not had to play around with my mirror selector.

All I did was set the mirror back to where I wanted it when it dipped then I pressed memory and then 1. So if you have memory seats you can set this function by means of that and store it permanently.
