Do you drive in sports mode or the Sports Manual mode?
Title pretty much says it.
With you're automatic transmission do you usually drive in DS or Manual mode?

I love the Manual Mode, it does rid most of the lag, all though i have noticed the DS mode doesn't have much lag either and feels almost like Manual Mode.

Sports mode is great to rid the lag however I don't like that it winds up the gears so much except those times you're sprinting. For those times I prefer manual mode but it's nothing like a stick shift. I just need to get a JB4 with the lag fix already.

Yeah the DS mode is pretty good but when I'm casually driving, which is 90% of the time, I dont like revving the car up past 3k which the DS does.
Edit: ^ What he said. lol |

yeah i agree with not liking to rev it so high on casual driving. I usually turn it to normal when im on a long highway or something, in the city though it's fun

So is all DS Mode doing is changing the shift points of the transmission or does it change the valve timing too? I've noticed it doesn't really like to shift in sixth gear (is that normal).

BTW, I noticed that not many people use DS or Manual Mode a lot. I use manual mode approx. 90% of the time, DS 5%, and D 5%, and operate in the range of 3k-5k RPM fairly often. Aside from wasting gas, am I going to see any negative effects from this (if proper maintenance is assumed)? |

I have a third pedal so I really don't have a choice. I used to drive my DD in manual mode all the time until I got a manual. Now I just kick it in auto mode, haha.

I like to control my own gears/RPMs either for spirited driving or maximizing MPGs. Manual mode 95% of the time after I got used to it.
