Brand new, direct from Germany. No need to replace the FRM and my car is a 2008.

That's not a bad price ,but certain cars you have to replace the FRM and I wouldn't take a gamble and find out I need one afterwards.Ive done a retrofit up a 2007 M3 before which he supplied the parts to and wouldn't work with his, needed a newer spec FRM.

Ive just done this to my Pre-LCI E90, never liked the look of the OEM light, but cannot be bothered to spend 100+ on lights, so got some £3 of red window tint film from ebay

Gone from this

To this

Theres a slight pink to the red film, but for £3 and 10 minutes of work cannot complain. Might try to find a darker film at some point, but still looks a lot better than oem, even my wife noticed the difference

I'd be carefull around MOT time as mine was pre advised that it wouldn't pass with the red film/spray on as it shows as red. Does look so much better though

I have ordered a tin of the red paint for the sake of £7 quid will see how it looks

my only concern is what colour the indicators will flash? assume this paint isn't so special that the orange bulb will show and it will blink red?

I'm interested in doing this most likely with the film. Do you have a link to the one you used. Really does modernise the cluster. Would you be able to take a close up with the film to see if you can see the texture and also one with indicators on to see what the light looks like. Look brilliant on white e92

I didn't use the film, used the spray tint posted earlier in the thread as wanted a nice deep red to match the lights

No worries about the template as I'm on an e92. Was just wondering what vinyl and how the amber light looks through it. Iv seen what looks like tint film and another that is more textured and perforated. Thanks for the help. Good luck with the leak
