I am on the verge of purchasing a new phono cartridge. This caused me to wonder how many M3 guys have high-end home audio systems?

I an an analogy guy and my system includes:

Conrad Johnson
Paoli

Not mine anymore now (my brothers) since its in England but we built these sytems slowly while growing up:

First start: AIWA NSX430 stereo

Then ROtel RA931 integrated amp, yamaha tape deck and wharfdale bookshelf speakers (inherited/stolen from my dad - have to have a crazy dad to have crazy sons - basically inherited both his love of cars and hifi - lol!)

Changed to arcam delta 290 integrated (later 290/290P combo)
Arcam CD alpha 5 plus
TDL RTL 3 speakers
Toshiba CRT TV.

Years later, moved to home cinema while keeping parts of system - amps and speakers mostly:
Yamaha DSP-E580 w/ arcam integrated pre-power combo
Later swapped to Yamaha DSPA1 separate w/ arcam for audio
Arcam DV88 dvd player
Added 1 then 2 REL Q100s
Toshiba 16:9 CRT TV

Final:

Meridian 600 series preamp THX
Rotel 5 channel THX power amp rb1090
Pioneer Kuro plasma tv
B&W fronts DM605s2 - can't remember rest
REL Stadium sub

Miss it. Loved the sound - the system could make you emotional - and it makes me emotional thinking about it!

Will rebuild my own hopefully if I get that surgery residency! Big IF. Gotta study! See ya!

There is something magical about that combo right?

Rotel is silky, silky smooth/perhaps even bland and B&W has that touch of brightness/perhaps even harshness which makes things gel together perfectly.

Awesome combo!

Well, I finally took delivery of the new phono cartridge. It was back-ordered over 6 months.

I can report there is absolutely no buyer's remorse on this purchase. This cartridge is utterly outstanding.

This thing far exceeds the earlier generation Ruby. The imaging is outstanding. The detail and level of information this thing extracts from each record, even those I have owned for 40 years, has to be heard to be believed . Each musical note stands on it own. Attacks and transients are quick, clean, and sharp. This is the beeeeeeeest freaking phono cartridge I have ever heard.

samsung led (this thing is awesome, pretty much on the entire time and my monthly electricity bill is still only around $40), samsung standard sub and speaker bar. and $100 bose speakers on the mac pro workstation.

i like bose, costly i know, but easy and gets it done in a nice clean package. been bangin' these for over 5 years and not a scratch.

how much money are you guys spending on your stuff? b-t-dubs, thread repost brotato.

Onkyo receiver and Martin Logan speakers and sub. Have a cheap Sony phono. Been looking for something much more high end on the phono side.
