Can I install Bluetooth?

My 09 335 doesn't have premium, and there is no SOS button at the top console next to the sunroof switch. I don't have bluetooth, but the steering wheel has the controls for it. Can I get the OEM bluetooth installed or is a retrofit the only option? No idea why the original owner ditched bluetooth...

Thanks. Interested, but how do I know what other hardware I need? I spoke to my SA about it, but they seemed reluctant because of the coding (for whatever reason). They also unofficially quoted me $1200 for the full install.

1200 is a good price installed if it includes all the coding and all the parts.

Check your trunk under the mat to see if you have a TCU or not, if you do then that price is not good lol and you can have bluetooth for cheaper by doing it yourself.

Curse the original owner... How did he prioritize CA over bluetooth?

Yeah, most S.A.s' don't know what is in stored to make the system work nor do they really care. It's more work for them if you think about it. Plus, I think they purposely try to make retrofitting difficult for the customer. Only do they care, if it involves "selling" a new car if a feature is missing from the new car.

I'm currently working on and installing the phone system also, but I'm adding USB functionality to my car which has created another set of issues and needed parts (cables and wires). This meant that I needed a different type of MULF2 high unit. (That's why I'm selling this one)

What I've laid out to you ( in my post) is all ( the parts) you'll need if you only want your phone system to work in your current. Follow the PDF directions, and you'll see it's an achievable project. If you're not adept in this type of install then I highly recommend having a professional install it for you. $1200 bills is about right. But it can be done on the cheap though.

In your area, I recommend finding a Indy coder. Explain what you want done, then get the parts. Just my .02 cents on the matter.

The production date of your 2009 will determine if Bluetooth can be easily retrofitted or not: pre-03/09 will have the Bluetooth pre-wiring from factory (see sticky), 03/09-on will not have the Bluetooth pre-wiring installed from factory.

Search for more information. This is one -if not the most- asked question in this forum.
