navigation....i dont like it...
i hate how i cant search by the name of the place that i want to go to...
last night i wanted to go somewhere and i knew the name of the place and the address, however, i could still not type it in the navigation system. that is only thing i cant stand about this navi system. |

^It is available now. You get it from your dealership. If you just want the newest version, you will have to pay for it. You only get it for free if that particular Progman will cure the glitches you are having. You can search for threads with title "Progman" for more info.

I think you need the 2007.2 Navigation disc AND the Progman 25.00.00 or higher service upgrade (very slow serial port upload, so they keep your car overnight do this).

Technically I believe a simple program update would be needed to achieve this functionality since most, if not all, locations allow you to "Select as destination" or "Call" - so the #s are already there, they're just not using it as a search method. Not that hard for BMW to add
