No. Not a problem with O2 sensors. They are up in the headers near the primary cats.

Here is a diagram/pic of the headers and probes F/R.
link:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...22&hg=18&fg=10

Here is a little schematic of the exhaust system.

link:http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/200...iagram=1942225

Numbers 6 and 7 are the Post-Cat locations in the lower pipes leading to the resonator ... one for each pair of 3 cylinder banks.

My Post-CATS were in a slight/bevel area from the down/extension pipe and it took a special splice w/mandrel bend to replace.... with proper pipe diameter.

I am sure there is more help if you search a bit.

Rogue Engineering piping?

So the rouge ikon is really just a muffler. I don't understand how manufactures can call a muffler an "exhaust system". At least throw in a high flow res and mid pipe before you start calling it a system.

Totally agree sir. Just a pipe or exhaust component ... not a system.

I am used to dealing with motorcycle upgrades/farkles. And in this parlance it is refered to as a "pipe" or "slipon" exhaust component. So, not really a big deal for me. In the moto world this is better defined.

Plus, there are "closed" and "open" loop systems. And you have to consider each before making any mods. O2 sensors and emission tests ... there are fixes and work arounds for all of this. Takes more work (and $$) sometimes to figure it all out.

Can you please explain the difference between an open loop and closed loop system?

The place I'm looking to purchase the RE IKON from notes that it "may need special fitment or modifying needs to fit perfectly." Anyone know what that may be referring to?

That's probably just something they say to cover their asses incase it doesn't fit 100% perfect. Mine fit 100% perfect with no modifications whatsoever.

I have an LCI 328i. A muffler shop did the job for $75, I tipped the guy $5.

Does anyone know whether the IKON system will fit together with an M tech rear bumper, without any additional cutting/modification needed on the new bumper?
