Floor Mat sliding

Hi I bought some carpet but it is not staying put. The traction on the floor mats suck.

What is some non slip material or double sided tape to put between the carpet and the floor mats?

Are they BMW floor mats? if so they come with anchors that screw into the carpet and Velcro to the mats.

There should be velcro pads underneath any BMW floor mat--even M brand. Visit a dealer... I bet they'll hook you up with the corresponding screw-in pads that attach to the floor.

I bought weathertech winter mats that come with hooks that screw into the original holes for the velcro pads. My OEM velcro ones sucked too so I just cut 2 small holes into the OEM floormans for the weathertech hooks. If you are fine with cutting into the OEM mats this is the best way to hold them in place.

My passenger carpet mat has been sliding since day one, and it made a crease which makes the carpet mat have a lump at all times.. I put them in the washing machine and then in the dryer lol. The bump is gone now and I used double sided tape from Scotch to make it hold on to the floor carpet! Easy to put on and sticks very well! Removes easily as well. Now My carpet mat on the passenger side is perfect !

And before doing this.. I asked the dealer to put some of the screwing in velcro's like on the driver side, but they only put velcro on the floor which means that it doesn't stick to the mat lol.. So that was sorta useless

3M has an industrial grade velcro tape that works perfectly for this. The OE anchors either break or strip out the carpet and pad where they're attached.
