it's a shame he doesn't feel its necessary to update here where there might be a greater amount of exposure with the desired audience....

as interested as i am in this.... its becoming more and more of a joke... the lack of updates doesn't help either.... if its not working, nothing wrong with just saying, guys we found some issues while testing and are going to iron those out first......

but to just say hey i got something cool! but i'll tell you about it tomorrow?

Unfortunately Gavin is crazy busy so he updates his Facebook more then e90 post. I bug him all the time about when he is getting his car back and I he tells me to check his Facebook because sometime he only has time to update Facebook. So I just keep an eye on his Facebook now. So if you all are interested in the SC I would just keep checking the Facebook instead of e90 post.

I know when this thing is finish the e90 forum will blow up with post about it.

Plus making BMW aftermarket parts is not his daily job so. I'm just happy to see he finally got a SC installed.

Awesome, can't wait to see more pics and video. Once I get back from my deployment I will try to go see it in person.

What made you guys go with a standalone in tandem with the oem over just a standalone? Wouldn't it have been easier just making a base ecu from scratch?

Wow, You've sparked interest over in the 128i section. I just worry about stock transmission reliability and such. How much could we see to the tires??? I think you posted on Facebook something like 300whp, but I would have to see it to believe it. Still interested in the development of this, but we all need solid numbers, price and info on this kit. Thanks Gavin!!

For stage 1, on a 328i - we will be in the 300whp area. as the stage 2 parts come out and we get to test them, we will push it. My ultimate goal is to hit 400hp on my personal car, and see where it can take you guys.

Let me clarify, our computer is basically a Piggy Back on steroids. It has the ability to control all the fueling, Meth injection, software tuning, errors.. so it goes in tandem with the OEM ecu and then improves upon the OEM signals allowing the car to run boost without a limp mode.

Stock tranny is rated for 332tq at the flywheel, stage 1 will not be over the limit at all.

stage 2 upgrades will push us, but not until it has been thoroughly tested and we know what the tranny can actually take.

all the numbers will be done soon, this is preliminary stuff just to show you guys whats going on. Dynos, Tuning videos, Driving videos, photoshoots will be done for you guys to see as it happens

Gavin, have you been able to verify the max boost the stock internals can handle?

Havent hit max yet, As I get more time we are gong to push it, like I said - I have goals for my own car and we will find the limit eventually.

But stage 1 is well within the safe area to run for the N52 at the moment

Take a look at the 335's also, ZF rated those transmissions at the same 332tq - and those guys are putting down over 450 at the wheels!

So it is pretty safe to say that 332 is a safe limit, but the real limit will be much more.

What are the ratings for a 2006 330i 6MT? Will the clutch and tranny hold? Kind of doubt it will. Would need a $1600 clutch masters stage 2/3 I think to safely hold the power, wonder if the gears can

Are you planning on dumping the clutch and launching hard? if so, I would upgrade because even a stock car will wear parts out quick like that.

As for the ratings, it has to be at least that of the automatic. Probably more because the Auto puts off much more heat and would wear faster then a manual.

but it depends on your driving style and if you shift good, if your grinding and slamming - all guesses go out the window because that's more of a driver inflicted injury, then a pure power issue.
