Musicar install
Ok, so I finally pulled the trigger and got the level I pack from Musicar nw. Got everything in and I\'m ready to do the install. I think the guys are out for the holidays but I want to install this weekend. Bottom line... I have no clue what goes where.
Somebody point me to the thread... I know there is one, I just can\'t find it anymore. |

It's very self-explanatory when you get everything spread out. The stock amp is in the trunk on the left side under the plastic piece. I've done their Subbass Module 2 on my car. It's quite easy.

I've got the processor, rainbows, sails, amp, and sws's. Yea I guess I just need the amp and processor hookups. I've found threads on the speaker installs.
Should be all plug and play. Just have to figure out where to plug ya know. |

The level one package differs based on system and options
What you get will depend on what stereo you started out with and if you have any upgrades. For instance a Hi Fi system won't have a cleansweep.
Its a good idea to have some spare plastic fasteners for the the door. The first two part no are the ones you might need. BMW Part no 51-41-8-224-768 b71d clip wi .71 ea door fastener natural 51-41-8-224-781 b71d clip wi 1.05 ea door fastener with seal gray 51-47-7-117-532 b18d clip wi .91 each door sill fastener 07-12-9-905-172 dp screw .71 each speaker grill screw I didn't strip any heads out on these but they are soft 07-14-6-979-835 .71 Fillister screw under door trim One of these was missing on my car I documented my install and can send you a copy if you give me your actual email as I don't see a way to attach a word document to the email here. When you are working on the car with the doors and trunk open the car is awake so its draining the battery you might want to either disconnect the battery or have it on a battery tender. I'm talking to Ken about this same package (the base audio is seriously crummy in these cars), trying to decide if I'm going to tackle the install myself or find an installer, so by all means, let us know how you find the process!
ctuna - I PM'd you to ask for your Word doc if you don't mind. |
