Guys any update on the availability of the LCI trim for the E92?!

I'm getting a BMW Performance Carbon Fiber interior and I'm still waiting to order the right Center Console i-Drive trim in order for the post-LCI CCC Controller to fit.

Do you think that number 5 is the right one as opposed to number 6?

Part 5: 51 16 0 416 207
Part 6: 51 16 0 416 209

It looks like #5 is the one with the rubber pocket (no i-drive) - #6 is the i-drive one (even tho it shows the picture for the 1-gen i-drive controller)

I ordered aluminum i-drive center console trim for the E90 - took 2 weeks since there were none in the US (?)

You're right!
The #5 is the one for non-idrive...
But if I order # 6 it's gonna be the same trim that I have!

I actually need the LCI trim in BMW Performance Carbon Fiber...

Can anyone help?!

BMWUSA.com says that P/N 51 16 0 416 209 is the CF Performance console for the new iDrive controller.

...don't pay so much attention to the picture - look at the part number and build date for the application. I'm coming up with 51 16 2 147 942... anyone else?

Sure is!

It's 51162147942 for vehicles made 9/2008 and up (new idrive controller cutout)
or
51160416209, pre 9/2008 (older idrive cutout).

Enter the part # on our site to order!

Thanks,

Ev

That tells you that the Accessories section at www.bmwusa.com cannot be trusted for P/N:

damn this thread is old, but I really like that controller...I'd buy it in a heart beat along with the interior trim if I knew it would work on my 2007 e90 225 is a lot to drop for something that only works part way.

New controller should work from 03/07-on as long as the latest firmware is loaded in the car.

I have the Brushed Aluminium trim and I have heard that when BMW introduced the new I-Drive controller they also changed the pattern of the Brushed Aluminium trim (probably changed the name too).
Those of you who have the pre-LCI Brushed Aluminium trim the only option is to wrap the center trim with leather just like Longtran did.

I have a 4/07 build (it does have the programmable buttons). I've never had a firmware update on the car. I just plugged in the new idrive controller and nothing works except the backlight. I tried disconnecting the battery for a while to see if it might need a reset, but that didn't help. Will an update from the dealer fix this or will the controller just not work. TIA

my car is made in 9/06 I believe (it's an 07 model though) so if it didn't work in yours, probably won't work in mine this sucks cuz i love that new knob.
