Thumbs down engine overheating

I was driving a couple days ago I get on the highway and engine overheating light came on and I lost power so I just pulled over and got towed home. Once home I restarted the car and fan came on right away.

Any thoughts of what this could be I heard thermostat or water pump but don't know how to diagnose it before I waste money on a thermostat or water pump

If you went into limp mode. You have codes. Read them and see what they say.

So did you do it yourself? Here is a place in Burlington, you can ask for a quote if you didn't do it yet

Engine overheating light is one of those things you should get look up by a professional right away

Last thing you want is having to replace your engine because it overheated.

Check your coolant level , if its really low then you either have a leak somewhere or a bad waterpump
