trying to figure out what % tints i want on my e90

I was wondering if forum readers can post their pictures of their e90's with their window tints. Please leave information on what % they are and where you purchased your window tints.

in Maryland 35% finished darkness is what is legal, i would keep it there so you don't get into trouble.

Legal in VA is 50% front side windows, and 35% rear and rear side windows. Many tint shops will go darker, but they won't give you a receipt (basically, it's under the table). I decided that I wanted to keep it legal. Besides, I think super dark tint looks a bit tacky... but that's just my humble opinion.

Here's a pic of mine with the legal VA numbers (ignore the lack of centercaps on the wheels, btw, it was temporary):

Thanks for replying back, the tints look great and are those BBS RGR'S? Where did you get the window tints? some readers emailed me to goto dynamics and LA tints.. any suggestions?

remember, the lower the number the darker the tint. ie, limo tint is around 3 to 5%.

are those BMW performance rotors, or did you go w/ something else.

Thanks for the compliment. Those are the stock rotors. All M3s come with cross drilled rotors. Getting the Fabspeed X-Pipe and HFC tomorrow. Will be paired with an Eisenmann Sport. Should sound awesome.

This was before my drop, but is a much better representation of the tint. I think 35% percent is the best without being too dark. I have had 20%, 30%, and 35%. 30% is also very nice, but Pinaccle FI does not come in 30% so I went with the 35%.

Yup...35% ...cops don't care at 35%.. no complaints. Pinnacle tint at LA tint in Sterling. Looks great ! expensive $$$

I regret the 5% on my Cobra. Even though I hardly ever drive it at night, it does seem dangerous.

20% for a light interior works really well. 35% for a dark is best. That's my experience after a dozen or so cars
