make your own ski hatch?????

i am planning to install 12w7 in my trunk soon but i dont have a ski hatch so is it a good idea to just cut through the seat??? anyone tried this ?? if yes please post pics...

if i dont cut it vs i make it what would sound better ????

if you remove the trim panel, you'll see there is a section that is just spot weled in that you can either knock out or cut out without too much effort. I have pics of the IB sub setup in a thread on here if you search

That's true if you have fold-down back seats, which I believe all E92s do. If you don't, like on a E90 without that option, you're SOL.

Yeah my old 08 e90 didn't have fold down seat option and it would have been really difficult to get a hole there.

it is the e90 without fold-down seats ... so wads the best option? do i just leave it like that ? i want maximum bass to enter the cabin and also i might change to a cf trunk would that be a problem with all the bass in the trunk? any help would be really appreciated ... thanks

take the rear seats out, think of all the benefits, lots of bass. less weight to carry around, a huge trunk. and now you have a 2 seater and dont have to take friends to lunch or kids to school

hahaha nice option ... i did that in my mazda3 hatch but this is a bmw not a mazda in thailand the bmw costs 3 times the price of a mazda so i dont want to do that

One option is to upgrade the under-seat woofers to Earthquake SWS-8, and add a separate amp for them. Various threads for that here, including someone where you can buy the needed spacers for the SWS-8s.
