BMW e90 325i 2006 Rear Window Does't Work
I was driving my car when I heard a weird noise from the right rear window. I tried opening and closing it and heard a breaking sound. Now my window is just loose. Doesn't go up, doesn't go down. I can move it up and down manually with my hands. When I drive it keeps coming down but I put a suction cup on it so it is good for now. Called the local BMW dealership and they want $550 for it. Sounds insane, I know.
My question is do you think it is the regulator or the motor that needs to be replaced? I found some videos on how to replace them and the parts I need but I am not sure which one it is. |

Exact thing happened to me 3 months ago. Its very easy to replacement if you have spare time to do it. I did it on my own and bought the replacement from amazon.
The snap you heard was probably and most likely the cable, and it finally snapped. here is the part: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 watch this video, its very easy to follow: Good Luck! |

yeah prob the regulator. its easy enough to replace. i bought a cheaper 25$ ebay version when mine busted a few years ago. It doesn't roll up or down as fast, but it works ok. Just make sure you follow the steps to reset it once your done otherwise it wont roll up all the way, or it rolls up and back down, i forget, but it wont work properly.
