HD Radio Gone after ISTA/P Update

My HD radio has been non-functional since my update to ISTA/P 36.0. Anyone else have this problem? Yes, HD radio is activated in iDrive, yes the stations exist. NONE come in HD now.

How does your HD radio sound? When mine started to sound like a motorboat on all stations (AM and FM) with the HD indicator on, I took it into service, and they ended up replacing the entire CIC.

Sure you weren't listening to the Boating with Bob Show?

When it worked, HD radio sounded fine for me.
When did they replace your CIC?
What ISTA/P version did you get?
BTW, what nav version do you have now?

CIC replaced in early Feb. 2010
Don't know what version of ISTA/P I got. Shopping cart issue gone, and no Sat radio issues. Will get the key fob report next time.
Nav version is still 1.2.8

Odd that you still have 1.2.8. If the CIC was replaced with a new one, then you should have at least 1.4.6 preloaded. CICs with nav 1.4.6 started as early as Nov09.

Less concerned about the Nav DB, more concerned about program fixes/new features.

The nav sys. ver corresponds to the nav OS, whereas "2009-1" corresponds to the maps DB. What features the nav OS controls (like turn-by-turn pop ups?) is still up for debate. Another poster that got 2010 nav OS now has the feature of distinguising POI location on left or roght of position. I wish we had a clear description of ISTA/P vs. nav OS vs. maps DB.

Back to the OP, I am hoping my HD radio comes back next service!

How do you display the software version? When I display the version in the navigation mode, it only gives me the map version which is 2010 (just updated by BMW). Thanks.

We with non-2010 nav see 2 version numbers listed: (1) a nav OS version near the top, usually 3 digits like 1.2.8 or 1.4.6, and (2) a maps version at the bottom that has a year like 2009.
