Heel-toe downshift.

I feel as if it is harder in the e9x because our pedal positions are made for luxury. Or, is it just me?

I actually heel-toe with just the left side and right side of my foot, if that makes sense. I noticed that the BMW in general requires a lot stronger blip then other cars i've owned. I pretty much need to floor it to get the RPM's where I need them.

^^same as above. It's hard at first with about any pedals as they're not meant for it. Pedals are actually designed so you DON'T accidentally hit both pedals with one foot.. Makes sense lol. But it's not hard on mine. Do it all the time in spirited driving

That is also another true thing... I seriously need to Floor it to "blip" the throttle sometimes.

I wonder if a throttle booster would help that?

I feel the same.. I think because the electronic throttle has a little lag in it

The pedal position makes it a lot harder, we also have a stupidly heavy flywheel- sometimes I have to nearly floor it as well. I don't even bother with heel-toeing because of this, just rev-match and call it a day.

Or once our cars are out of warranty we can swap to a sport clutch/LTW flywheel combo

i like heel-toe on the bimmers -
- u can also try brak'n a little higher on the pad on the ball of ur
foot - turn on that ball (twist) and blip closer to ur right side (by the heel).

u get into a rhythm and it becomes 2nd nature

I always heel-toe on a downshift. Pedal position is not the best on these cars for a 'traditional' heel-toe, but as people said above you can use the sides of your feet. I like doing that on the track and find that vans are the perfect solution. Any BMW driver who wares narrow racing shows on a manual should be slapped in the face, haha.
