Anyone run Nitto NT05's? Or have experience w/them?

Saw these on a m3 and love the look of them. They are a rounded tire with more of a full look that I want on my (on order still) 19" SF-71's. The only sizes that they come in that make the most sense are the following..

Font: 245/35/19 or 245/40/19

Rear: 275/30/19 or 275/35/19

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...mance&tmn=NT05

If I want a more full look rather than a really low profile which setup do you think I could get away with without any rubbing issues? I have a 335i sport and dont plan on rolling fenders or lowering.

Let me know your thoughts! thanks!

Matt

and the appropriate size you should get is 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears.

They're great dual purpose tires for the money too. All my track fiend STI buddies swear by them. PM me and I can help you get a deal on them

I have them on my 460rwhp C5 and they are awesome tires. It took about 100 miles for them to break in and not feel washy in the turns but they hook great as well as handle well. Definitely the best hooking true street radial I have ever ran.

They are awesome tires, its basically a track tire for the street and will grip to no end in turns and launches

We just put some on a 335, along with some Advan RS

They are a slick looking tire as well although the tread depth is rather shallow and I wouldn't expect to get more than 12-15k hard miles out of them.

yikes yea thats what I figured, thats why I had the NT555 on my Camaro, they lasted a good amount and had good hookup esp for being one of the cheapest at the size (285's). Luckily my commute to work is nothing and I dont need to drive much where I live in LA so the 12-15k hard miles (which they will get) should last me well over a year or two!

Keep in mind, NT05's come "shaved". They only have 7/32" of tread brand new. You'd be lucky to get 8-10k "hard" miles out of the tires. I've gone through 2 sets now and with a few track days and roughly 8-9k miles, the tires were done.

I know all about them, I had them on my C5 and never tracked the car but it did get quite a bit of spirited driving on the street. I got about 12k miles out of my set and they still probably had another 1-2k on them if I wanted to push it. Track days will definitely kill a tire 100x faster than semi spirited street driving on occasion. I didn't really take track driving in account for my estimates.

hmm yea I really only do street driving and in LA its hard to really rally too much, ill give them a shot hopefully they last, def a tire type where you can go through 2 sets of rears before the fronts are toast..

any other tire that has the same sidewall look that isnt crazy expensive? I know the m3 can come with those Michelin's but they are $$ from what I remember..

Just got for them and you will love them. I don't know if another tire with the same type of aggresive tread pattern thats not a R-compound or DR.
