What about building your own bike? Anybody do that...?

Back in the prime....Love to ride, mostly DH racing. Raced alot between 2004-2006 and I started a new job and no more. I think biking was almost as expensive as trying to keep up with the jones' on my new 335i. I miss that ole Foes DHS Mono. Best bike ever owened.

Nightops and two piece , very interesting pic's .
mountainbiking is one of the most exciting and beautiful sports in the mother nature .
i used to enjoy the single tracks cuz i was a climber but downhilling is also fun if u've got a good fullsuspension as Two Piece has . the Foes bikes are always red ,right ? btw i love Rock Shox forks !
yes Nightops . those are the kooka rasta cranks . oldschool huh ? ain't no any other cranks are as beautiful as kooka's this one . light weight and not available anymore , an collector's item . they are for sale btw :-)

thanks! its a Truth in fact. pretty much the same bike except your Moment has got more travel- I've had it since 2000 and it works as well as when I first built it! One of the best allround xcountry, singletrack weapons out there ...so your in playa huh? i'm in Culver city/border Marina del Rey. Where do you usually ride? Here are pix of my other rides, A Santa Cruz Vp-free which i use for shuttle rides (Big Bear when it was open, Mammoth) and the venerable Bullit which i use for light duty freeride and jumping! The last picture is me at Kenter taking a small double with the bullit:rocks:

Yeah...I'm in playa.

Well...sad to say, have not used the Moment in a long time. I have currently switched to road riding. Maybe later in the year, once the weather changes a bit...will try the mountains again.

Here is an example what my other bike looks like....I don't have an exact pic here at my work computer, but you get the idea.

Specialized makes great bikes- i'm sure youll have a blast with that enduro. interesting that they're also adapting the swoopy look that santa cruz is doing now too..not a big fan of that, but it's the ride that counts.

Oh my god , the KLEIN !!! still it's one of the most exotic bike's around .
its frame design is unique . in my opinio this frame is the Lamborghini Countach of all crosscountry bikes :-p

Btw what about these 2 top of the line fully's of Specialized for crosscountry purpose ?

I ride a turner burner that I built up myself, no Shimano parts on it. I used to work as a bike shop wrench in high school so I like working on my bike as much as riding it
