M-Sport vs Sport Suspension

Regarding an American model 2010 335i, does anyone know the difference between the two suspensions?

-I've read the M sport suspension consists of a lowered spring with increased rate and stiffer shock absorbers.
-I also read somewhere its lowered 10-15mm.
-I've also read it only includes sporting suspension calibrations tuned by BMW's M performance division for the sedan.

I tried calling BMW but they do not have weekend hours. Thanks in advance!

I'm curious myself. My car doesn't really look much lower than a car with the standard suspension. My E46 with sport suspension had a much lower appearance than my E90.

There is no difference. It is the same as the standard sport suspension.

The M Sport package is cosmetic (compared to the standard sport package)

No...you're wrong, the M sport package DOES include the M suspension. But the question of whether it is drastically different than the standard suspension in terms of performance is debatable. But you definitely don't have the standard suspension if you opt of the M sport package, unless you have an XI - only then is the M sport package just pure cosmetics.

Msport suspension is identical to sport suspension. Msport is all cosmetic additions onto the regular sport package.

Both sides of the argument is right...and wrong.

The early EURO only versions, MSports option had a different suspension set up from the sport suspension option. This was sold as the Performance Suspension Kit(the really cheap one that was sold by Tischer for only a few hundred bucks a few monts back) in the US.

This difference in suspension set up has since been discontinued and all the current MSports have the same sport suspension.

Not relevant, don't confuse the OP. Reread the OP's question:

I believe it's the same as the Sports Suspension with the exception that the M Sport Suspension has a different rear stabilizer? I ask because if you want to purchased the BMW Performance Suspension from tischer it states the following...

"****Vehicles w/ M Sports suspension (704A) require a new rear stabilizer and rubber mounts - included when selecting the M Sport option in the dropdown menu."

So does this mean the suspensions are different? They are the same. they are Just up grading the m sport suspension to the european m sport which is different from the european/usa sport suspension.

In the U.S. the M sport suspension is no different than the sport suspension. It is the exact same system. When checking off the M sport package you are just getting the cosmetic pieces. Nothing more, nothing less.

The best addition with the Msport if the short shift with 6MT. I also like the back up indicator warning.
