Scheer, can you tell me what you used to get the bird etchings out of the paint? I've got the same problem, though mine's not anywhere near as bad. But I need to know what to do because I don't want to experiment on my car.

various polishes. i think it was the powergloss that did the trick.

hey scheer, i have some pretty bad swirls on my GTI (thanks to the stealership) I have my flex with both orange and yellow pads with SIP. Since you seem the most experienced with the flex, do you think just moving to a yellow pad to cut more would be sufficient ? Also have you used the Meg M105 on the Flex 3401?

Thanks

the yellow pad is almost unnecessary because it marr's the paint a lot and it can be hard to remove. i would do orange with SIP and if that works, but still isn't perfect, give it another pass with the SIP. but you would most likely also want to finish with a polish like 106ff on a white pad then 85rd on gray for extra gloss

i haven't tried the meg's stuff yet, i hear it's great, but il get some when im out of PowerGloss.
