Order Change: Please help ?

Hey, I ordered my 330i
on Saturday December 10.
I have not recieved a production
number form the dealer yet.
Today I decided that I wanted to
to change the interior color. I called
the dealer and he said it would be
very difficult but he would try.
Will it be possible? It's only been 3 days.
Does the car go into production that quickly
that it can not be modified? I do not even
have a production number yet.

If the order is not status 150 (production started) then it is modifiable.

Garage List
Or he found a car with your specs already enroute, but then he would have given you a VIN #.

Highly possible. Doubtful about the VIN though.

I'd pry for more specific info from your sales rep. Ask he/she what the current status is on the vehicle inquiry. That will put them on the spot.

Just tell him you're changing the interior color. Apologize profusely. You might get your car a few days later but get what you want.....it's your money......this happens all the time.

If he didn't locate you a vehicle already on a boat or at another dealer, then you should be able to change, because I thought they weren't producing anymore in December.

That is what the stealers (dealers) are saying. I know E90s were produced week 48 Nov. 28th - Dec. 2nd and week 49 Dec. 5th - 9th. Per what I have seen (dealer availability) E90s will resume production week 52 Dec. 26th - 30th.

Of course there are no specifics if it is all of the factories that will be closing or just a select few that produce the E90s. My understanding is that there was a high number of E90s allocated for Nov. build to carry dealers well into Feb. 2006. (Jan build = arriving at dealers in Feb)
