short shifter kits?

theres probably 300 million posts on here about short shift kits but im too lazy to search... coming on this forum and telling me to "search" takes about as much time as it did for me to write this so dont bother... defeats the purpose
...

anyway are any of you with the different short shift kits finding a major difference in performance or anything for that matter? i think the stock stick is very uncomfortble and almost "LONG THROW" in a sense... feels very delicate...

I'll tell you in a few days...getting the third attempt of a prototype UUC Evo 3 for the xi installed ATM. I know for a fact that on track I've noticed points where I would have liked a shorter throw...but we'll see how this shifter helps that.

I'm a sucker for OEM parts so I personally would get the BMW short shifter kit. As a bonus it comes with alcantara shift boot and new metal/alcantara shifter knob!

I used to have STi 5MT shifter setup so I feel your pain with the long throws

I have the Rogue Engineering shifter. It is fantastic! The feel is almost stock for effort. It's a little shorter, but not too short (my elbow hit the center console with the stock shifter so I didn't want anything too short). The gates are much more defined and I can tell what gear I'm in. It is two piece so there is no annoying rattle.

Probably one of the BEST mods I've done.
