Helix Intercooler Install Trouble - RESOLVED

Resolved, see my post below

Went to instal the Helix intercooler today, after having taken out the stock FMIC so many times I thought it would be a snap but I ran into some trouble.

Is anyone having any issues with the weight of the intercooler? I installed it and it is pulling all the piping in front down with it. In fact, it seemed to be straining something enough to leak a little coolant (blue liquid) on this pipe (see photo below) . Did I break some mount or extra support?

If I push up, the entire apparatus IC and all will move up about 2 to 3 inches.

I'm also having some trouble getting the silicone tubing over the IC outlet on the passenger side. Photos also attached.

I have the intercooler supported by my jack right now. I had to stop working because it started pouring outside.

This may be a dumb question, but how is the assembly moving around if its screwed into the stock location?

Guessing the blue is washer fluid from the headlight washers.

My washer fluid is actually green, anyways this has been resolved. THe error was that I followed the Helix video DIY blindly. I noticed that they removed the clips that heold the stock IC next to the radiator fan incorrectly when I watched it, but I didn't audit any of the other steps. Turns out you are NOT supposed to remove the plastic blocks on the right and left. They clip into the radiator support and actually hold everything in place. Once I realized that these shouldn't have been rmeoved I put them back in and everything was stable. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that whatever I bent that resulted in the fluid has no more strain on it and won't leak anymore.

The hose also straightened itself out when everything was lined up correctly. THere's still a small dip in it but it's minor

Yes definitely don't want to remove those. After I watched the video where they said pull the clip out on the left side of the radiator I was like no way because that holds up the radiator!!! Glad you got your issue resolved.

On another note this is turning out to be my favorite mod, except for the very misleading install video. Nothing like repeatable power. Our cars are quick but with the stock IC you can never take advantage of all the car has to offer since heat soak is so prevalent. Datalogs to come, all mine kept getting corrupted =/ from tonight

Don't know what they were thinking instructing removal of that clip. It seemed extremely stupid to me to remove one of the two clips holding the radiator in place.
