I remember reading somewhere that home depot or lowes has something like bumper plugs but much smaller so you don't have to drill as large of a whole. No front bracket FTW. The dealer forgot to put mine on.

Seriously, why is it such a horrible/bad idea if I just spackle the holes and paint over them? Won't it be less noticeable than the bumper plug. With the bumper plugs, it'll be like 2 nipples on my bumper. I'm just trying to get a flush look, so that if you just glance at it, you won't know that it's there. I just figured that's what I use at home when I cover up the holes in the wall left by nails and then paint over them, why can't I do it with the bumper? Will the paint not stick? I mean if it looks like ass, then I'll get the bumper plugs. Just don't feel like making the hole bigger just to put in the bumper plugs, just in case I get too many tickets and decide to put the plates back on. The brackets will no longer fit.

Don't spend $25 for the plugs....save your $$$ for the no-plate ticket you will be getting.....

Thanks, if all else fails, that's what I might have to get.

I also don't think regular spackle would work, I doubt it would stick to the bumper. If you want to go that route I would get some type of bondo. However it won't look right since they use self taping screws and the plastic of the bumper deforms where the screws go in, and the plastic around the holes sticks out. When you go to remove them you'll see what I'm talking about, although it might not be too bad in your case, who knows. Good luck.

j.k. Yeah, thanks for your input. I'll probably go and see what I can pick up at either Autozone, Pep Boys, Home Depot, Lowes etc...

Yeah, but I wouldn't need to make the holes in my bumper larger.
