The rest of the package isn’t bad either. The entry-level SE models are, if anything, even more appealing than the try-hard M-Sport variants and the Touring is cooler again.

One of many similar reviews...

That's hilarious.

You muppet.

Do you actually own a BMW? You seem to love commenting on others cars but never seem to mention having one yourself - if that's the case, oh dear.

Not for me it's not.

Too chavvy for me, the alloys crack, the ride is rock hard, it isn't stealthy enough.

A 318/320 M Sport to me is the ultimate in what I don't want to drive.

You seem to lob comments in on all sorts of cars. Do you actually own one?

It's because there can be only one DXB!!

Which means everybody else feels inferior. Well at least in terms of coming first

I dont have anything against SE, or Touring spec levels.

However, the man who wrote that review for Autoweb (whoever the fuck they are) should probably do us all a favour by buying a Merc and driving off a cliff.

What a sadsack. That review could and should have been in The Independent, such is the level of self righteous belief in something so misguided that it displays.

To reiterate, I fucking hate hippies, and thats the view of a hippie. Try harder M-Sport? Jesus. They both have bodykits, one is more aggressive than the other - what a load of old toss.

Carenthusiast.com liking the Touring:

We've driven a variety of the latest 3 Series now and a skim through our reviews will reveal a somewhat unanimous verdict of excellence for the entire range; the 335d Touring is no exception. In fact, it may well be the best one we've encountered to date - no mean feat in itself - which means it is one of the very best sport wagons you can buy.

. Easily capable of withstanding comparison with its petrol equivalents, this is a diesel that sells on sporting prowess rather than economy. It's a brilliant car, admittedly at a price, that completely redefines the definition of diesel motoring and may well open the door to a raft of pure performance diesels in the near future. As it is, the 335d Touring may just be all the car you'd ever need.

And several mags prefer SE over M Sport - but it's only an OPINION. I wanted SE because it's less "obvious", is a bit higher (I live in Cornwall and need a bit more clearance - and my drive is very steep), has smaller alloys (not into huge wheels), is a bit "softer" (the looks of the square edged M Sport spoilers don't do it for me) and rides more comfortably while still being firm enough to be fun.

So maybe your views are a little OTT?

I really like the M Sport on 5 series but not so keen on them on the 3. But again that's an OPINION not right or wrong. No need to get quite so OTT. And irnbru's comment was just cr4p and pointless.

Different strokes for different folkes then, how many Msports are sold in comparison to the SE, isnt it something like 3:1 or 4:1 maybe someone on here will know the correct figure.

The Msport has always been the most desirable and thus strongest residual wise out of the two...

Is the R32 not a bit of a chav mobile if your gonna start slinging mud LOL.

Isnt stealthy enough does that not read boring enough.

Still waiting on these other cars im making comments about????

And my comment was just a joke, grow a personality...

Well sorry for not following the herd and wanting my Beemer to shout "LOOK HOW FAST I AM" but hey, that's me. I've grown up with a Dad who likes Q cars from a bog standard looking Ford P100 pick up with a 400bhp V8 to a 300bhp Mitsi Shogun that looked almost stock.

Maybe a bit more subtle than a car that shouts about it performance (or in many cases lack of). I couldn't give a crap about residuals - cars depreciate a lot - end of.

But thanks for your comedy comment - it really made everyone laugh.

Now what did you say you drive? Because I can't find a single reference to your own car. Just endless opinions of other models.

I can tell you one thing about launching too - in the 335d for sure - I cant launch well AT ALL so if someone else can then fair play to them!

The correct answer for why bother with Drag Racing is - why the fuck not? Why bother to get out of bed, wash your bollocks and go to work? Why bother to play xbox games when truly, you achieve nothing. Why go to the cinema for 2 hours of empty pleasure? Why spunk your load over a couple of Estonian prostitutes?

Why do anything?

Good post Matt

Oh and the E92 335 SE has sport seats and suspension as standard, dont the E90 and E91?
