Looks nice Helen your nearly as bad as me changing so often
Interesting how well you say it takes the bends as there's a good vid of it keeping up with the R8 (untill straight line performance)

May have to come up and have a look in the RS5 when it arrives as the TTRS is also on my Shopping list when it becomes available with the DSG box

Helen - nice car as always

The RS looks so much better and very noticeably different on the road to a regular/S TT and I for one think they're stunning. I'm very interested to experience that engine - 5-pots are just so unique. I had a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo once and that sounded lovely - a really nice offbeat 'warble' that was genuinely unique in it's day. I can only imagine that Audi has refined that sound to perfection in the TT!

Lovely interior too - unlike the S5, the TT also has a driving position that's straight which is a bonus!

Talking about the RS5...I have been perusing the Audi site and can't believe how much they're going to cost BEFORE options. Are you still considering that or do you think a 997 TT could be back on the cards one day?

Hey Chris!

Lol not quite as bad as you. And I've not forgotten about the RS5 btw.....no way! I've got my name down for a test drive when one of the dealers I know gets one in as a demo and am thinking that when they've been out a few months, see what is out there.

Yes, seen that vid. The RS guy at the dealers told me about it actually, and he also explained how to overcome the understeer in the TTRS as he went to the promotional do at Silverstone when they were launched and the instructor worked out how to get rid of it.........basically lift the right tootsie off the accelerator a bit whilst driving through the bend and it disappears, then floor it out of the bend.

...seems a bit basic - surely you would do that naturally? Am I missing something?

Anyway, lovely car Helen....bit cheeky parking it on a fairway though....anyone would think you owned the place....

It does sound different I have to say and very distinctive. The sports exhaust brings out the noise even more...........bloody chavs eh.

Oi, I got used to the driving position in the S5.......know what you mean at first, but like anything it becomes the norm. Seriously though I really did like the S5 for many reasons and will always have fond memories of it.

Andrew, of course I'd like another Porsche Turbo . I am keeping a breast of things lol, although not many new ones have been sold (credit crunch?) so those that are out there are bloody expensive and as traditionally the Turbos are 60% auto and 40% manual, then the manuals can be harder to find, BUT as we all know that PDK box is in a different league to the old tiptronic. RS5 demos will appear eventually, so we'll see. Audi have taken a good few orders for the RS5 though by all accounts.

Lol Chris, yes defo in a RWD car but AWD you tend to just go for it tbh. They're talking about the track as always, totally smooth surfaces, n'owt coming the other way etc. In the 'real world' of course things are different. Put it this way. When I drove the Cayman S with PDK in sports mode I got the back end twitching because of my 'conditioned' approach to bends. So had to alter things and power it through and out the bends as opposed to into, through and out which you can do in the TTRS. Just little differences.

Wish I did own the place...............Stuttgart here we come!!!!!!! Think I'll go to Sainsburys now

You mean sprint blue pearl effect on those models or is sepang blue available at a ridiculous price on those models as opposed to £500 on the TTRS?

Cheers Tim.

Guess what I've been doing today. Broken my record on a certain road.

Great choice Helen. I am absolutely sure you will have great times with it. The TT has a styling flare often missing in German Euro Boxes. One of the reasons I am going for an XF.

Interesting front brake discs on that.

Looks like a 2-piece job but mounted on radial bolts?
