head gasket leak? or valve cover

i've notice a small leak under my car. about 2-3 drops every night. so i grabbed a flashlight and looked under the hood. on the side of the intake manifold i saw a small puddle of oil. seems like its leaking very slowly. i want to fix this badly and my car is a cpo out of warranty with 58k miles.
currently without taking off the stupid engine cover i cannot see what is under it. is replacing the head gasket expensive?

FYI my dealer fixed a valve cover gasket leak on my '06 under my CPO warranty (for only the $50 deductible); so I would try to find a dealer that will do it under your CPO

Its most likely your valve cover or the gasket that connects the oil filter block to the egine.

Sometimes the head gasket bolts will break too, but it's most likely the valve cover gasket. And yes, replacing the head gasket is very expensive.

You have CPO, that means it is covered under warranty. Take it in to a BMW dealer and just pay the deductible.
