Can't believe how many Omega watch owners there are on this forum.

Omega seamaster gets my thumbs-up.

I'm not sure about other desirable watch brands but Omega also come in two different sizes - handy if you have thin wrists.

Omega owner here too.. 30th birthday pressie

Worn mine every day and the marks and scratches add character.

Also have a breitling superocean 46 heritage which i loved - but only worn twice! So tempted to sell that one, but never the omega.

Omega semester professional here..... had it 8 years, only time I've been without it is when it gets serviced.

Mine was also an engagement present from the wife.

Speedmaster will be on the cards next year.

Cheers guys,

This is exactly the one I have http://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/omega...oogle_shopping

Can't upload pics because I'm on the iPad (laptop burnt out)

You guys have made me feel alot happier about wearing it, went to get the links taken out today and realised the bezel doesn't line up central which is driving me nuts (OCD!) so I'm having another ordered in, in the mean time I tried on this on http://m.socialshopping.com/Ernest-J...0-201012200637
It's much thicker but I prefer the face.

Still cant believe it!

I recently bought a Superocean but after reading this thread I'm thinking I should have got the orange bezel Omega PO, which I love, great looking watch, a colleague has one. The Superocean is very nice though and being the smaller case it suits my thin wrists. I also have a Franck Muller Cintree Curvex Colour Dreams, beautiful watch, I just wish it was genuine not a €150 replica

Bought myself one of these and love it. Feels like a big hunk of quality
Name: omega PO.bmp

Wore it on a trip to Germany and came back with 5 of the large centre links scratched to buggery on the SS ashtray in the armrest of the old KLM sloggers that ply the routes between UK and Schipol. Jeweller wants £160 to repolish the strap

Don't believe everyone when they tell you that scratches add character. Its no different to someone keying your car. Big scratches on your shiny new watch will piss you off. However what's the point of having a watch and never wearing it....just stop micro-examining it and enjoy (he says having just re-examined those scratches....darn!)

Alan - what's the 'why' for?

1) Why would you spend that much on a watch?
2) Why would you want a Panerai?
3) Why would you want an Omega Planet Ocean?
4) Why would you want more than one watch?
5) All of the above

I have asked myself all of these and can't come up with a sensible answer

I quite like the look of the orange PO, but I'm a little too conservative!

The Franck Muller is a bonkers looking watch - not for me

i've never quite got the panerai thing. They remind me of lexus cars. Impecably engineered, superbly well put together, prestigious for sure, but ultimately, just a bit dull looking. Doesnt work for me. I'd have the Omega any day

If you guys want to look at watches go onto www.rolexforums.com

They have sub sections for Panerai/Breitling/Omega ..

The sales boards are full of great watches at very good prices ,

I've got a black Seamaster quartz, but one day I'd love a PO.

I've had a seamster for 15 years and it's still in almost perfect condition. I never wear it now or any of my watches for that matter, I just got into the habit of not wearing a watch and now it feels odd to wear one.

I actually keep meaning to sell them all as quite often my 2 year old son goes into the drawer and plays with them so only a matter of time before he figures out how to destroy them.

Love my Omegas. Have 3 so far. Bought a "Bond" Seamaster auto in 2001 and that didn't leave my wrist for 9 years. Never serviced and keeps great time. Was told that if it wasn't broken, don't fix it! Also have a Speedmaster X-33 gen2 which is a bloody expensive quartz watch, but pretty cool and quirky. Most recent purchase is a white faced Speedmaster broad arrow with blue hands. Has been my daily for a few months now.
