It was somewhere around 8 hp and 10 torq in gains. I'll get my dyno graphs tomorrow and scan them so i can post them up sometime this week.

Interesting... cuz that sounds like my 1st tune with LET when I gained more peak torque than hp. I went back after they were able to work on it a bit more and got the higher HP numbers while not losing too much of that torque either (still gained a lot in the mid range).

I'll say it again, if someone wants to get me a BMS unit, I'd be happy to do a head to head comparison.

Yeah, well if anything better can be done i'm sure Terry will find it and the great part is we just have to reflash the chip inside the BMS tune and its all updated (It takes like 2 minutes and can be done at home if you have a chip burner)

And besides... both the LET and BMS tunes have proven gains associated with both of them. And even though the LET tune has a few more horsepower, the extra 4 horsepower it makes isn't gonna make a difference.

I think the fact that the BMS tune completely gets rid of the throttle lag (because of the throttle advancement that the LET tune doesnt have) and it can be resold makes it a better choice in my book. But those are just my 2 cents.

and don't forget the BMS is also $170 cheaper.....I called hp autowerks and they quoted me $449, and I would've had to drive all the way up there to get it done. You could use that money and get a used intake or something. BMS FTW!

well from what I remember the price was supposed to go down on the tune... I never heard back about that though.

I called like three or four weeks ago and it was the same. I asked about a price drop and they said they had heard about the rumors on the forum but that it hadn't gone down. Maybe now that there's some competition in the market the price will drop. Either way, I think BMS is the way to go. The throttle re-map is crucial, you can take it out whenever you want, you don't have to worry about the tune getting erased if you ever bring it in to the dealer. and you can sell it down the road...etc, etc. In my mind there just isn't a reason to go with the LET. Unless of course both tunes could be piggybacked, that could be fun.

Does the BMS eliminate the speed limiter? I spoke with Active Autowerks and they also have a tune which is similar to the Let in the fact that I must send them the ECU. The interesting part is that the AA tune eliminates the speed limiter and takes care of the throttle curve. Price is comparable and resale is something I could care less about since I own my car and warranty is up.

from what I've read on these forums the BMS tune does not remove the speed limiter, unfortunately. Maybe that's something they can put in the next update
I got my old TSX up over 130 a couple times, so I'd love to see my LCI stretch it's legs on the right roads.

LET doesn't require you to send in your ECU, they can send you the flash tool to DIY.

That's interesting I was not aware of that. When I said similar I was refering to a flash type set up where as the BMS is a piggyback. Thanks for the info on LET that does increase the desirability.

The PBX does not remove the speed de-limiter.

yeah, Mike is right, only the LET/Eurocharged flash does that at the moment.

Since everyone is buying the PBX, LET should just lower their price and only sell the top speed limiter removal flash.

Mike
that's what i said. from my understanding the pbx did NOT remove the limiter. or de-limiter, whatever its called.

I think BMS should make an update that does remove it. It can't be that hard.
