Blizzaks on a 335xi

Bridgestone doesn't make the Blizzaks in the right size for my 08 335xi. The tire shop said they could go one size up in the rear. Anyone know if this will screw with the xdrive? My plan is to keep winter tires on the stock rims and get new tires and rims next spring.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Was going to a 17 inch wheels and Blizzaks originally, but then I have 18 inch stock wheels in the shed so I figured I'd save myself some clams and get the Michelin pilot Alpin PA4s- getting them put on next Saturday hopefully!

I honestly can't wait to see the results - supposed to be a bad winter in the tri-state

You think it is ok not to have the wider 255 tires on the back?

I put 225 all around on stock 189s (staggered wheels) and they fit perfect. I'm trying to sell the setup now.

Going to 225/40R18 is very common to do for winter use on these cars. It fits the front 18X8 wheels and rear 18X8.5" wheels with no problem and the more narrow tire results in better winter traction.

I use 225's all around on my car and it is amazing in the snow. My only problem is when there is a lot of snow because of the car's height. Otherwise 99% of the time I am very confident with my winter tires on. Also, the Michelin Alpin's are amazing!
