Germen speed limit

SPD – the second largest political party in Germany is going to parliament wit a law to introduce 130 km/h speed limit on autobahn. Germany is the last country in Europe without speed limit.

Um, the autobahn has speed limits in lots of places. Are you saying in the places that dont have a speed limit, the max you can go is 130km/h? If so, then I'm leaving at the perfect time. 130km is ridiculously slow for a country that routinely goes 200km+

So far it’s a proposition. But if it the law passes than there won’t be any place without speed limit.

Merkel is not SPD -- she's CDU, but the SPD is in the governing coalition.

The speed limit was suggested in order to lower green house emissions. Merkel countered by saying something like traffic jams will create an equal amount of harmful emissions. Go Merkel!
