Upgrading Just read shocks?

So i'm pretty new to the world of suspension upgrades so here goes ...

I am told that my rear shocks need replacing and I then started looking into better options than the ones they were wanting to charge me for. I figured I may as well try and get something out of having to spend the money.

So I started looking at the Koni Yellow shocks. Here's the dumb question ... do I have to upgrade all 4 at the same time if I went from stock to these:

Or could I upgrade just the rears and then do the fronts at a later date?

unless you're replacing your stock shocks with new stock shocks, i'd replace all corners at once.

How much farther into the future do you plan on doing the fronts?

Either way, I don't see this as being a problem.

It is no problem whatsoever to just put new rears on. You then can do the fronts whenever you want to or need to.

Doing just the rears is fine.

perfect, thanks guys!

One other question - if i'm supplying the parts to an indy mechanic do I need anything other than just the shocks? I'm sure I read something about needing new mounts too? I never see these advertised with the shocks though ... if so, anyone care to point me in the right direction for a 2006 330 xi?? Thanks again!

At minimum if you replace a rear you should replace both rears. Same for front if you replace the front you should replace both front shocks.

Let me know if you need the Koni Yellow. We have them in stock and if for some reason our price isn't the best we do price match.

Think the mount you are referring to is the nut/upper mount that goes on the top of the shock.. Its a nylon locking nut and should be used only once.

Wrong. There are many more pieces which do wear out over time...

Lower rear shock mounts might be in order, or at least an ispection
