Anyone own 156s and 162s?

I have a 330i with ZSP, and I'm looking to purchase a set of tires for use from November to March.

Does anyone switch between the 156s and 162s? Any modifications necessary or is it just plug and play?

Better ideas for a winter wheel/tire combo? Thanks :-)

Yes, I knew that. But I thought it would be clear by my pointing out that the Styling 156 wheels are 16" that they cannot be fitted to a 330i or 330xi.

I have 162s also. I am trying to figure out which 17" wheels I like since we cannot use 16".

Why can't 16" wheels be fitted to the 330i/330xi? Anything that fits the 325i/325xi will fit a 330i/330xi. In fact, the taller/thinner the rubber, the better in the winter.

Brakes are too large on 330's for 16" wheels.. 17's should be fine.

uh, the brakes are smaller on the 325i so if people can put 18" 162's on the 325 why can't 330i owners put on 16" wheels? jmatero is right - People have done this already.

BMRAMA, I am selling my 16" 156's here if you are interested:

I think what they're trying to say is that the 13" discs are too large to have a 16" tire mounted over them. So its not a matter of stopping the car, but rather having the rims fit.

Oh well. Guess I need to find some 159's then.

Last time I was at my dealer they gave me a quote of almost $2200 for a set of Style 158 wheels with Runflat winter tires (225-45-17)

I went with a set from Tire Rack and paid about half that price (shipping included). Now that I am seeing a lot of 330xi's driving around, I must admit that the 159 would make a nice, thought somewhat expensive, winter wheel.
