nah iphone uses edge..i have it...gluck using the internet if you dont have wifi haha...but yea im a new tech just graduated STEP Training in december. Im from PA, lived there my whole life, in the poconos. Went to a college in PA owned by PSU and got my degree for automotive. Im mostly a VW guy since they are alot cheaper and ive spent most of my life being broke paying for all my mods and cars...ive had like prob 15 or so cars already and im only 21(22 Feb 8th haha). Like i said im still learning the ropes on how it goes at the dealer here and ill try and help you guys out as much as i can. What engine are you looking to do Neurorad? ive seen some cars come in from V&T and they blow..i have yet to find a good body shop in the area but i do know i get to see alot of bad body jobs at the dealer due to the number of cars that come through daily.

Any of you guys have any experience with the Infinity Basslink? I'd like to add a tasteful bass kick to my system and looking to keep the headunit and the speakers...

Just joking about the engine. Am interested in springs, though. I'd have to bring it somewhere for the alignment after, but I could avoid the dealership. No programming involved, either. 5.3 hour installation estimate (not sure if that includes alignment) for Dinan's spring set. With an xi, I'm looking at the HR sport.
PA? Poconos? I went to a summer camp in Honesdale, near Hawley, in the Poconos. Beautiful area! I really enjoyed the Wayne County Fair, as a ten year old. I'm blanking on this name, but I went to the same high school in CT as one of the BMW techs on Ryan Lewis' team. Dark hair, medium build. What's his name? |

You can get the springs pretty cheap in the marketplace, but I have no idea how much installs would be around town. volks...?

springs arent any issue...personally every car ive had till this mk5 has been on the ground with coilovers...if you can fit your foot under my front bumper its not low enough haha...but thats just me. As for install, if you guys want it done i can probably do it on a saturday. As for the alignment thats up to you guys i could do that too or you could take it to a shop around town if you want..i know the dealer charges well over 200 for an alignment...i saw some dinan springs put on an m6 like 2 weeks ago and the drop wasnt even noticable..personally i suggest any of you going with coilovers because well...you can adjust it however high or low you want it to be to get that PERFECT stance..i also dont suggest anyone put springs on a car with anything over a 1 inch drop without putting in aftermarket shocks just due to longevity and stuff

i bought a 97 GTI one time that had a infinity basslink tube in it and well...idk the sound wasnt really what i was into. i dont like stupid loud hitting bass..if i was you id go with 1 10 inch sub or something if your looking for something like that...but this was also in a hatchback so my opinion may not be anywhere close to what it sounds like in these cars. yea im from the more southern part of the poconos by all the ski resorts near New Jersey but its all similar as far as looks go haha. Not sure who your talking about thats from CT but i know everyone at the dealer calls me the yankey hahah

Well I used my stock Shocks because I had sport suspension and
the shocks as far as I know will hold up fine. My ride is just as good as stock right now not really much of a difference. I really think if anyone plans on doing suspension they should just not do shocks and springs and just go coilovers. Shocks+Springs combos pretty much cost same as almost some coilovers. My ride height was lowered by about 1 inch or maybe lower, I'm just waiting till its noticeable that the shocks need to be replaced, but I doubt that will be soon so I have some time before I need to. Go with coilovers

Got the spoiler on...the paint work was great but the fit was a disappointment. The edges were not sitting flush with the trunk lid. I ran by BMW of Nashville and talked to Jeremy who then talked to someone back in the shop about it. They said they stopped using the BMW adhesive kit (which I used) and are using an adhesive from the Auto Glass guy to install the spoilers. I am going to meet up with him on Monday to see if he can fix the edges of the spoiler by getting some adhesive up under there. Anyone else have issues with these e90 spoilers? (it is a BMW part, not aftermarket)

Driver Side:
Passenger Side: The driver side is the worst. Hopefully you can see what I am talking about in these images. I know they aren't suppose to come the the edge of the trunk lid, I am talking about the edges "rising up" off of the surface of the trunk. I hope the glass guy can get some adhesive in there to bring them flush. |

Yeah, I see what you're talking about. Basically how its sticking up off the surface of the trunk, right? Mine is stuck with the 3M tape, which usually makes the spoiler look like its raised up a bit, but over time it's flattened down to look completely perfect. I doubt anybody really notices it because it blends so well with the lines of the car.
So I took this picture tonight when I went out.. back when I thought it was that the spoiler wasn't reaching to the edges. As you can see, mine doesn't either. Hope the glass guy can take care of it for you! Oh, sorry for the picture quality. It was so dark outside I had to hold my friend's phone up to the spoiler so I could get enough light because my phone's flash was too bright!

About a month ago I started hearing a "humming" noise (almost like something rubbing against something else) coming from the front drivers side wheel... the noise increases as the speed increases. Have any of you guys had a similar issue with your E90?...
I stopped by the dealer today and test drove a brand new 328i... just to make sure the noise wasn't "normal" and sure enough, no noise on the brand new 328i, so I made an appointment with Jeph to take it to see what's causing the noise... |

yea i saw it, david worked on it, hes a great tech man he really knows his shit! probably tire pressure issues since i find that most of the owners never check their tire pressure...therefore the tires get cupping on the tires due to them being runflats which dont wear that great to begin with..so you will probably need new tires...

oh and for those of you asking about the ipod stuff...it will be cheaper for you in the long run to just go through the dealer to install since we charge roughly 2.5 hours to program for a retrofit...which at 95 an hour...is alot...where as if you buy the stuff through us and have us install it we dont really charge for the programming aspect of things...
