Surprising Track Results
Car: 2009 135i MT. 29k miles, original plugs
Mods: DCI/Meth/v4(17-17.5psi)/93pump. Tires: 265/35/18 Hankook evo v12s (street tires) DA: 1115 ft (257 track elvation, 72 degrees outside according to drag time, temp gauge said 76, 45 percent humidity, 30.09 baro) Timeslips: car 3394 From left to right: 1. missed 3rd 2. Sig is what's in my garage. The car only has a dci meth tune power wise (charge pipe if you want to count that). It has wheels n suspension as well.

91 0 ign correction. Pretty much 100 percent meth out of a m10 nozzle. The track is not know for fast traps. The jb guys ran 112-113 on map 9 and race gas. I was surprised with my carm. I have logs if you are interested.

Damn that's faster than what I've done on race+meth with same mods. I wonder if the M10 nozzle running 100% meth makes that much of a difference than a M7 running 80/20? Hmm maybe time to get a bigger nozzle.

I will post logs later tonight or tomorrow. My timing never hit above 10-11 so it def wasnt perfect. With some race gas 118s are def possible.

I guess I never really tried running that much boost either. did you see any timing drops through your runs?

Launching tech: I brought the rpms up to 2.7kish and slipped the clutch. Basically what i do from a stop light, just higher rpm. Thats the best I can explain it.
As far as timing, for some reason it was almost always lower in 3rd. 3rd was 7-8 midrange 10-11 up top. 4th never went below 10 or higher then 12. I tired 100 ut and i ended up hitting 2-3 degrees in 3rd with a shitty looking timing curve. So i back off. Oh first gear tq was set to 80, 100 resulted in too much spin. 50 resulted in not enough spin. 80 felt perfect. |

Pump+meth with DCI, I was only trapping ~112.5 but that was only on 15lbs of boost. I didn't go up any higher in boost because I was seeing some timing drops and didn't think it would yield any more mph. I did 116.1 on 98 octane + meth at about 16.5+ psi.

Actually, the logs look really good. There is a ignition retard even at beginning of the shift in 3rd gear which is almost normal if you shift really fast-- which you are doing judging by the mid-shift boost staying high. We'll be adding a shift event triggered ignition retard (with gradual decay) to prevent this in the very near future which should help a bit. Maybe we can get those traps to increase by another 0.5mph or so with it.
Good work... 11-12mph higher traps (over stock) with tune, dci and fuel aint bad Shiv |
