NFS shift
I got NSF shift yesterday and picked up the force feed back race wheel for the 360 also and its insane. I haven't played any race games for awhile so I can't compare but, this game is amazing. I was sold alone on the fact that you start out with m3 for your practice run.
I think if you get the game the race wheel is a must! Anyways finally got some track experience in my m3 i put a 100 grand in upgrades on my M3 now it has 700 hp

I got the game too yesterday (funny coincidence) and its really fun...I also bought a M3 with a Stage 1 bodykit and it looks like its got a VRS trunk, 3d front lip and a hamann diffuser...The drift levels are really hard...i cant get the hang of it...

Yea the worst part about the game is no tutorial and worst instructions ever. I never played the other nsf so maybe they are all the same. I only tried the drift event once and it was pretty hard. Do you have the wheel?

I dont have the wheel, thinking of getting it...especially when GT5 comes out.
But i tweeked my driving settings to this: Steering Dead Zone - 10% Accel Dead Zone - 3% Brake Dead Zone - 3% Steering sensitivity - 7% Acell Sensitivity - 75% Brake sensitivity - 15% Speed steering Sensitivity - 100% found that it helps.

The paddle shifters are nicer than on the E46 SMG. The 6MT and clutch don't really work in GT5 prologue. You can shift without using the clutch. This wheel is USB and works with a home PC and there is a new game where the clutch works like in real life. Mess up and the car stalls and grinding noise, etc. I'd be interested to see if NSF uses the 6MT. I have the steering wheel setup on a cheap folding dinner tray. Looks stupid in my living room but it works. |

For those that haven't purchased the game yet, it's not the same as underground and undercover. It's a sim, so it's more like Forza and GT4.
I bought the game and it's fun but I prefer the underground/undercover gameplay. I'm more of a jump in my M3 instead of play a sim type of guy. |

If you're getting the game this week, Best Buy is offering a Logitech wireless wheel for only $20 ($60 off the $80 price) if you buy them together. Looks like this wheel uses paddles for gas/brake instead of foot pedals, but it goes on your lap. Don't know if it's as nice as the other wheels, but a cheap option FYI.

Just bought an Xbox and got shift yesterday. It's such a great game.... The drifting is really hard. Anyone have any tips besides the ones they provide?
I'm rolling in an S3 so far. What driving type are you all using? I'm using experienced. I was playing pro, but it's pretty tough. I'm thinking about going back to pro, though.

So far so good...just hit level 24...I like it in its own sim-arcade (not Forza/GT5, not Race WTCC or GTR2/M3 Challenge or rFactor [etc pro-sims], not GRID/Dirt/Pro Race Driver) kind of way.
I hate the drifting though...car's feel too different. |
