This thread is not about which is better by the way, its purely to show my modification on my car that I had done..Please stop comparing your lights to mine.
I respect your opinion, I just couldn't help it, lol. Sorry.

Looks great! I'm thinking of getting this done very soon. Would you mind taking a daytime pic of the entire headlight? I think you opted for the same color scheme I want -- shrouds stay stock color but corners are blacked out.

And now that you guys mention it, the headlights do look scared lol. But I like it, reminds me of the LCI E92's.

ONEighty uses Luce Produkt Orb Rings (luceprodukt.com) I can't tell you how big a fan I am of their stuff. I been following both companies for a while but just got my first BMW, definitely going to try to get something done.

Thanks for that tip!

What does it mean exactly by "rings per headlight - single vs dual"? I'm assuming for ours it would be dual (two halos) per light?:

Thanks!

They do that so you have the option to change 1 or both of your rings. Some people I guess may not want to shell out $300 + labor for their headlights. IMHO I'd go with the dual all day.

I was playing around....but no, that's not it at all. I am up for anything that keeps the OEM designed cut, such as the GP's. Assuming your comment was directed at me anyhow.

I like it!

I have a very strange opinion about the cut vs no cut style

I think with the OEM angel eyes, the cut is hardly noticeable due to the yellowish color of the halos. And it does give it that aggressive squinty look.

However, on the brighter led alternatives like OSS, the cut I think is exaggerated due to the brightness and makes the ring look unfinished to the average person and myself.

While on the other hand the full ring is more complete it lacks the squinty look. But it looks less aftermarket because the cut is not noticed on most angel eyes.

I think the best idea would be to get the cut on the outer ring to be a tad narrower and also slant to match the line of the hood. And possibly do the same slanted narrow cut on the inner ring.

I saw a side by side comparison of the two cars together, full rings and OSS rings. I have to say that your theory in lighting is pretty much spot on. Without brighter LEDs the cutout is definitely less noticeable, but with after market LEDs, The cut out stands out and it does look like its ether unfinished or the LEDs are broken within that region

I got my HID fogs installed today by Oneighty! I asked for 6000k HID...Its not a perfect match to the AEs, but I wanted a little contrast between the two and with the low beams on it matches quite well to the 6000k fogs.
