E92 XI Staggered Setup

Hey guys, Im new to XI's and how they work and I wanted to know if a staggered fitment on a e92 328xi would do any damage to the car I'm currently running 19X9 in front and 19X10 in the rear, car drives fine no probs so far but i just want to make sure before it's to late..please help me out thanks

The important thing is the tire size. Go to the wheel & tire forum.. use the tool.. I think the difference is supposed to be <1% and you should be fine.

Yup it's dependent pretty much entirely on your tire size - you need to make sure the total diameter for your front and rear wheels remains essentially the same (with up to a 1% tolerance in difference).

Any more than a 1% difference and your fronts/rears will be rolling at different speeds, which the car will interpret as perpetual slip and you'll end up wearing out the transfer case super quick.

Suggestions... for that setup maybe 235/35 and 275/30, although I'm not sure if it'll be too stretched on a 10" rim. 245/35, 285/30 is a good setup too although that may require fender work.

Check your tire sizes and do the math - make sure they're ok before driving around too much. Running improper staggered setups, she won't tell you she's hurting until she finally keels. And then you're out a few thousand to fix it. There are a few horror stories around the xi forum. I'm in the same boat, have an lci xi and bought a staggered wheel setup to run come spring. Was worried about the same thing so I read and researched until my nose bled.

Oh thanks a lot..I have 235/35 in front and 265/30 in rear right now and the car is at stock height right now..i'm going to check out that tire tool and see wat it says..I love the setup but i just want thr right setup to avoid probs later on

lol, for what? 235/35, 265/30 is a cookie-cutter setup that you can't really go wrong with. 235/35, 275/30 is closer in diameter mathematically, but what OP has is close enough within that 1% (it's 0.85%) that it shouldn't cause any problems.

stick with a square setup, for a 10 inch rim 265/30 19 should work just fine.
