Depo AE as DRL
Hey everyone,
I recently installed some DEPO headlights into my pre lci 328xi and was wondering if coding worked to make the AEs become DRLs? I saw people tap to the cig lighter but there has to be a more elegant solution than that! Anyone have experience coding that out using depos with pre lci? |

Depo has not been known for quality, projectors with horrible cutoff, leaks, error codes, etc. You can look for a daeos harness that gives power to eyes with ignition on.

thanks for the response. so far i havent had any errors or leaks and the quality seems pretty good. they are MUCH brighter than my stock xenons so thats a plus. i found the daeos harness and ordered it after some secondary research. thanks for the advice.

Since you have a 2008. You can in fact code your AE to be your DRL.
Stock halogen, although don't have AE, has a bulb that goes on whenever the AE are supposed to be on. In the depo, they used this connection for your AE. Therefore, all you need to do is to get someone to code your car to make your drl AE and it will work. This is providing it's on a car after 03/2007. Ive been going back and forth on purchasing these DEPO lights, I have heard both good and bad.. so whats the honest opinion? Yes, I realize that they are not OEM.. thats a given for those people that immediately cite that comparison.. but for aftermarket, are they worth it? Thanks Guys
