Is it worth it? best bang for buck? exhaust idea
I am going to go with an axel-back exhuast and decided that the ones offered by Remus,UUC,Eisenmann and others are just farrrrrr to costly. Now i would like the car to also be easily converted back to stock. Only looking to spend a maximum of $700, it is again only an axelback exhaust. So after searching the forums and I came up with this idea.
Magnaflow 12866 $80x2 = $160 Cyba Tips $130 Labor and Materials Estimate (axleback) $120 I'll have a shop do it, any sponsors on this site in the tristate area, im located in philly that are up for the challenge feel free to PM me as well. this is the directly off of this thread. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...eback+mufflers So i just wanted to get your opinion. Is this the best bang for my buck or is there another system out there that is around the same price! |

I have the exact same setup as you named and I like it. It isn't very loud but its toned and deep. I am awaiting catless down pipes which will make it a little louder. If you don't plan on doing anything else to the exhaust then just do a muffler delete. When I put my mufflers on I started it with no mufflers and it sounded really good, I almost left it that way. The only reason I didn't is b/c I knew it would be too loud when I put catless downpipes on it. If you don't plan on getting catless downpipes then your biggest bang for your buck is getting cyba tips and doing a muffler delete.

I did the same exact thing except I did 11375 and reused the stock tips to maintain an unmodified look. It came out to only $210.

Try muffler delete. The exhaust is already muffled by a large turbo anyways, might as well save some cash.

Go with the muffler delete b/c if it is too loud for you and you don't like it then you can always buy the magnaflow mufflers and try that and you really wouldn't be losing much money. Post up a video if you do it.

The more and more I talk about it the more and more I want to do it and make like an interchangeable setup. The way I put the mufflers on is set up to where I can take them off at anytime and put the stock ones on. I'm thinking about making another setup to be able to just change in some straight pipes too.
